Pumpkin Bread – Moist matter

First of all: You probably don’t know pumpkin primarily as a bread ingredient – but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t give it a try! Pumpkin is mainly found in North American pies, but also in cookies or ice cream, to which it lends an extraordinary flavour. In bread, pumpkin does not only have a positive effect on the appearance, but also provides a particularly pronounced moistness as well as a great taste.

Good to know: Whether butternut, muscat pumpkin or hokkaido – when making Pumpkin Bread, you can try different pumpkin varieties. In all variants, the fruit pulp ensures that the bread stays nice and moist. Before its use, the pumpkin can be cooked or simply baked together with the bread.

Keen to experiment: Refine and vary your dough with cinnamon, cardamom, vanilla or freshly grated nutmeg, for example. Pumpkin seeds sprinkled on the bread before baking cater for a coarse bite.
